This project takes its name from the combination of two terms that may seem distant but are actually closely connected. "MARFA," the mysterious Texan city world-renowned for its strong minimalism and sense of natural decay, and "CARBINA," which refers to the ancient name of Carovigno, the area where the farmhouse is located, and signifies "fruitful," representing the fertility of its land. Our project embodies the essence of Marfa's minimalism, with its clean lines and almost desert-like setting, while drawing inspiration from the millennia-old tradition of the city of Carbina, nestled among centuries-old olive trees and the boundless Puglian countryside, isolated from everything and everyone. In this dwelling, contrasts harmoniously merge, creating a unique experience where past and present embrace in a symphony of beauty and authenticity. The furnishings of the farmhouse are in contemporary Mediterranean style, with peasant and traditional details. The interior spaces are divided into two areas: Marfa, characterized by beige interiors, and Carbina, with white interiors. The property can accommodate a total of 15 people, with three double rooms and three triple rooms, each with its own bathroom. Outside, there are outdoor showers and a swimming pool with an outdoor area under a thatched roof for lunches and dinners. The property also features a pizza oven, a citrus grove with an Agape concrete tub for a relaxing bath in a secluded area. The property is fully fenced with high white walls to ensure maximum privacy. For parking cars, there is an access gate to the courtyard and a second gate to obscure the view of parked cars. At the entrance of the farmhouse, there is a spacious shaded patio with a comfortable leather sofa and a large fireplace. There are also double sun loungers located in front of the pool for sunbathing. The entire space is characterized by white gravel. Inside the structure, there is a large living room with a sofa and fireplace, a dining table, and a large kitchen with an island. A laundry area is also available.
